Matt graduated from the North Carolina university system at Winston Salem. His major was health science master’s degree in nursing science with a minor in minority health. We had asked Matt why he chose to become a practitioner, and he stated, “I chose to do this work because I thought it was a good way to make a positive impact on society from a health standpoint with teaching as the backbone of health with stressing healthy habits and good choices.” Matt’s specialty is emergency services at Clifton-Fine Hospital where he has worked with our team since 2019. Matt said that he chose to work at Clifton-Fine Hospital in the twilight of his career as he enjoys the small-town atmosphere being that he is from a town in northern Canada, even smaller than Star Lake. He stated that the best part of working at CFH is that “I enjoy the family like structure of CFH and appreciate the ineffable feeling working here provides me.”
